Kate O’Hearn is an international bestselling children’s author who writes high fantasy adventures with strong, compassionate and adventure loving heroes.
Kate O’Hearn was born in Toronto, Canada, raised in the heart of New York City, and has lived in several cities around the United States and Europe. She currently lives and writes on the south coast of England. She studied fashion and worked in New York for Calvin Klein. But it was her love of writing that soon took over and she gave up a prestigious job to pursue a writing career. Her first children’s book, “Shadow of the Dragon – Kira” won the 1066 literary prize, followed by her international bestselling six book series, Pegasus, and the Valkyrie series, Titans series, and Atlantis. Her new series, Sentinels: Keepers of the Forest is coming out next here. She has also written a children’s musical “The Caterpillar and the Blackbird” which is touring the United Kingdom, and this autumn will be appearing for a run at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She also wrote and directed a comedy/farce for adults “Gail Force 9” which sold out all performances and gained all positive reviews. Kate loves to travel and just this year has been doing author events in India and two different tours in China.
