The Hailsham Festival of Arts & Culture returns for its 20th Anniversary this September and invites young artists from the age of 4 to 18 to get involved and celebrate two weeks of arts and culture in and around Hailsham.
Join us in celebrating a legacy of creative expression from the past two decades by entering our Children’s Art Competition in collaboration with Gallery North Art Gallery and sponsored by Lightning Fibre Full Fibre Broadband Network, Knockhatch Adventure Park and BourneFree Magazine.

You can interpret our dinosaur theme however you would like and we have included a few ideas to help you get started…
3D: Carnival props e.g. Masks, head-dresses, puppets , flags, lanterns or models of dinosaurs, dinosaur world shoebox dioramas or fossil sculptures
2D: Paintings or drawings of dinosaurs, prehistoric worlds, fossils and landscapes or prehistoric plants – all mediums welcomed. 2D work does not need to be framed, but if the work is on
paper, please ensure it is mounted on a rigid board so that it can be displayed.
All 2D and 3D mediums welcomed – sculpture, collage, painting and drawing.

All submitted artwork will be entered into a free public exhibition at Gallery North (70 High Street, Hailsham) during the Hailsham Festival from Saturday 5th to 20th September. After this, 2D work will be selected for display in Froggies Cafe at Knockhatch Adventure Park until Summer 2027.
Prize winners will be announced at Hailsham Festival Awards Ceremony at Gallery North on Saturday 12th September 2-3pm.
