A presentation exploring traditional Greek mythology in its origin and ways in which it has changed in modern media.
Greek mythology has influenced much of our modern fantasy today. From monsters in Dungeons and Dragons and heroes in Disney movies, myth has been a source of inspiration for the arts since its conception. In this presentation Blossom Whittle will explore the origins of Greek mythology, its influence in our own time and the remakes and subtle references you might have missed.

Blossom was born and raised in Hailsham, and is a recent graduate from Glasgow University obtaining her masters in Ancient Cultures where she focused her study in Greek mythology and cult pratices. She is an avid fantasy fan and a regular player of Dungeons and Dragons. She hopes to begin work on a PhD in the future.
