To open this year’s Hailsham Festival, we’re bringing something rather special — and rather large — to the town centre.
Come along and meet Bumble the Brontosaurus, who will be roaming Hailsham High Street with his prehistoric chums for a joyful street celebration packed with family fun. There will be dinosaur walkabouts, magical surprises, music, and plenty of festival atmosphere as the High Street comes alive for the day.
The Virtual Art Gallery began life as a lockdown project in 2020. We decided to continue with it and you can see the work which local artists have uploaded here.

Our 3rd annual children’s art exhibition will be held at Gallery North this year, showcasing the work of more amazing young artists from across Hailsham and the surrounding villages.

The history and origins of the Punch and Judy show together with anecdotes of Ray and Jacqui's journey through the world of entertainment and the situations they found themselves in. Ray was Eastbourne's Punch and Judy man performing on The Wish Tower Slopes in Eastbourne for 34 years until budget cuts stopped the show...
The talk is fully self contained complete with a visual display and interactive parts to the presentation. This talk is suitable for audiences of all ages and abilities.
Paint & Sip is co-hosted by Claire Piper at Completed Studios and Rachel Nicol at Off The Line Vineyard. We aim to create the opportunity to allow people to unwind and relax with a glass of locally produced wine and explore their creative side! Guided by Claire who is visual artist, illustrator and facilitator the class is open to all levels of ability. The vineyard is the perfect spot to relax and paint.

A rhyming fable from Rust & Stardust Puppet Theatre, featuring spellbinding songs, delightful dances, colourful costumes, and adorable cat puppets who make potions and fall in love!
Following the highly successful Book and Author Fair at the 2025 festival we are repeating the event for 2026. A range of authors will display and talk about their work. During the course of the day there will be book signings and vistors are encouraged to talk to authors about their work.
