Town Centre Open Morning with the Long Man Morris Men and Milton Hide
Saturday 14th September
Vicarage Field Vicarage Lane, BN27 1BL 10.30am – 3:15 pm
Come along to the war memorial (Vicarage Field in the centre of Hailsham High Street) at any time from 10.30am where, alongside the regular Saturday Hailsham Market, the fantastic well-known local folk duo Milton Hide will entertain you.
Then at 11.30am – 12.00am the Long Man Morris Men, proud custodians of the Wilmington tradition, will perform traditional English Folk Dances for your entertainment, with all their bells and ribbons!
Join us at 2.00pm for the FREE annual Mayor’s Concert at Hailsham Parish Church. An introduction by the town’s mayor will be followed by performances from Hailsham Choral Society, Roger Tipping, theParish Church organist and professional soprano, Abbie Marsden also known to Hailsham people as the director of Hailsham Voices.
Between 2.00 and 5.00pm Hailsham Horticultural Societywill be holding their late Summer Show Summerheath Hall
There will be crafts for children with Crafty Annie, as well as juggling, unicycling, stilt walking and plate spinning, all being demonstrated by local children who have been learning circus skills throughout the week.
