Pevensey Castle

The piece was created using watercolour and ink. I chose to use dark blue tones and striking lines to represent the long dark history of the place, which has witnessed hundreds of years of turbulence and drama. Using small flashes of light, I contrasted this with today’s lighter, happier activity of families and children who now enjoy exploring this well-loved local piece of heritage.
